Grow a Garden Wiki

Updated How we verify data

This is an unofficial, fan-made helper for Grow a Garden, the Roblox farming game from the group “The Garden Game“. You buy seeds, plant them, wait for them to grow and sell the harvest for Sheckles. Our list has 572 crops and 196 crop mutations, and the calculator works out what any fruit sells for.

How the game works

  1. Buy seeds. The seed shop restocks on a timer, and rarer seeds show up less often. Packs, events and merchants give other seeds.
  2. Plant and wait. Single-harvest crops are picked once. Multi-harvest crops stay in your garden and keep growing new fruit. Your garden grows while you are offline too.
  3. Sell the harvest. Each fruit sells for its crop’s base value, scaled by how heavy it is. See the crops list.
  4. Chase mutations. Weather, pets and gear can give a fruit mutations, and a fruit can also grow as a Gold or Rainbow variant. They multiply its value. See mutations.

Key terms

Mutation multiplier
Each mutation and each variant has a fixed Sheckle multiplier. Not tested in game yet
Mutation stacking
Mutations add up: each one adds its multiplier minus 1, so Shocked (x100) and Frozen (x10) make x109, not x1000. A variant (Silver, Gold, Rainbow and others) then multiplies that total. A fruit has one variant at a time. Not tested in game yet
Value formula
A harvested fruit sells for its crop’s base value, scaled by its weight, its variant and its mutations. The community wiki publishes the formula; we have not tested it in the game ourselves. Not tested in game yet
Weight scaling
Value grows with the square of (weight / base weight). Fruits lighter than 95% of the base weight still sell as if they weighed 95% of it. Not tested in game yet

What we cover, and what we don’t

Grow a Garden is a big game and many players have moved on to newer games, so we keep this section lean: the sell-value calculator, the full crop list, every crop mutation and the codes page. We do not run a live stock tracker or a trade-value list, because we have no reliable data feed for either. Playing the sequel instead? See our Grow a Garden 2 pages.

Who keeps this wiki

This section is kept by Ali Ahmad, who has played Grow a Garden since launch. Crop and mutation numbers come from the community wiki and are marked “Source: community wiki” on every value. How we verify data.
