Privacy in plain words
We don’t ask for your name, email or age. There are no accounts or comments here. Our web host keeps basic visit logs for a short time to keep the site safe. If you change the light or dark setting, your browser remembers it, not us. If you email us, we reply once and then delete the email. If you are a parent and want something deleted, email us.
1. Who we are
UpdateOtter is run by Ali Ahmad, Pakistan. Contact: contact@updateotter.com.
2. What we collect
- Server logs: our host (Hostinger) records IP address, page, time and browser for security. Kept for the host’s log period.
- CDN and security logs: the host’s content network may log requests to block attacks.
- Browser storage: the
themesetting (light, dark or system) is saved in your browser’s local storage only when you pick one. It is never sent to us. - Emails: if you write to us, we get your email address and message.
- Report form: the text you write, the page and the value you reported. No name, email or IP address is stored.
- Calculator inputs: kept only in the page link (after the # sign) and never sent to our server.
3. Why we use it
We use this data to run and secure the site and to fix wrong values. Our legal basis is legitimate interests. We do not sell data or build profiles.
4. Advertising and analytics
Right now the site shows no ads and uses no analytics cookies. If we add them, we will update this policy first and ask for consent where the law requires it. Ads would be set up for a young audience, without personalised ads.
5. Who else handles data
- Hostinger (hosting, CDN and email).
- Bing and other search engines receive only page addresses when we tell them a page changed (IndexNow).
6. Children
The site is made for players of all ages, including children. We have no accounts, comments or chat, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. The report form does not ask for personal details. If a child sends us personal information by email, we delete it within 7 days. Parents can ask us to delete anything by emailing contact@updateotter.com.
7. International transfers
Our host may store data in data centres outside your country. We only use providers that protect data under their own privacy terms.

9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email us and we will reply within 30 days.
10. Changing your choices
You can clear your browser storage at any time. If we add consent options later, the “Privacy settings” link in the footer will open them.
