Is a heavier Carrot worth more?
Each Carrot fruit grows to its own weight around the base weight of 0.275 kg. Value climbs faster than weight: a fruit twice as heavy is worth about 4 times as much.
| Weight | Sell value | Compared with base |
|---|---|---|
| 0.275 kg | 20 | ×1 |
| 0.413 kg | 45 | ×2.25 |
| 0.55 kg | 80 | ×4 |
| 0.825 kg | 180 | ×9 |
| 1.375 kg | 500 | ×25 |
| 2.75 kg | 2K (2,000) | ×100 |
Our notes
The Carrot is the crop most players plant first, and it is the default crop in our calculator for that reason. It is a Common crop that is harvested once: when you pick it, the plant is gone and you need a new seed.
Its base value is small, so a plain Carrot is never going to carry your garden. What makes it useful is that it is a cheap way to learn how the price formula works. A Carrot heavier than its listed base weight sells for more, because the wiki formula squares the weight ratio, while a lighter one never drops much below the base price.
If a Carrot rolls a Gold or Rainbow variant, or picks up a strong mutation such as Shocked, the multipliers apply to the same small base. That is why a mutated Carrot is a nice surprise but still worth far less than the same mutation on a higher-value crop.
