How to get it

Walrus at a glance

  • The Walrus is one of 13 Epic pets in our list and has the 6th highest base income among them.
  • The strongest Epic pet, Crane, earns about 6.7 times as much as the Walrus.
  • Across all 230 pets with a known income it ranks 204th.
  • At its base weight one Walrus earns 36K (36,000) Cash per minute, or 2.16M (2,160,000) per hour.
  • It hatches from the Walrus Egg, found in Snow (needs 170K (170,000) Speed), and takes 1m 00s to hatch in your pen.
  • The community wiki lists a reward of 14.4K (14,400) Speed and 60K (60,000) Cash for this egg.

How much does a Walrus make?

A plain Walrus earns its base income. A mutation multiplies it, so a Rainbow Walrus at the same weight earns 2.1K (2,100) per second, the most of any mutation in our list.

Does a heavier Walrus earn more?

Every Walrus hatches with its own weight. The base weight is 200 kg. A heavier one earns more, but the gain per kg shrinks as the weight grows: at ten times the base weight it earns about 4.1 times as much, not ten.

Notes from testing

The Walrus is the Snow biome's Epic. Snow needs a big jump in Speed over the Desert, so the Walrus is usually a mid-game pet.

It earns almost twice what a Swan does and its egg hatches faster than most Epics, which makes it a quick earner once you can reach Snow. Its base weight is high, so weight bonuses are smaller than on a light pet.

The Speed reward on a Walrus egg is several times the Lake's, which is the main reason to farm them. If you are saving for the next biome, a cycle of Walrus eggs works well, and the Polar Bear from the same biome is your next income goal.
