What Golden does to income
- Golden multiplies a pet's income by ×2.5. That makes it the 5th strongest of the 8 mutations in our list.
- It gives the same boost as Spirit Bloom.
- The strongest one, Rainbow, gives about 1.4 times the income of a Golden pet.
- On any pet, Golden adds 150% to the income the same pet would earn without a mutation, before weight is counted.

Notes from testing
Golden is a random roll when an egg hatches and gives a pet two and a half times its normal income. The community wiki puts its roll weight at about four in a hundred hatches.
It is the mutation we tested first in game: a Golden Chicken earned what our formula predicted.
Golden is rarer than Silver but much easier to get than Rainbow, so it is the boost most players will see on their best pets. A Golden pet from a higher biome is usually worth more than a Rainbow pet from a lower one.
