How much does a Chicken make?
A plain Chicken earns its base income. A mutation multiplies it, so a Rainbow Chicken at the same weight earns 3.5 per second, the most of any mutation in our list.

Does a heavier Chicken earn more?
Every Chicken hatches with its own weight. The base weight is 8 kg. A heavier one earns more, but the gain per kg shrinks as the weight grows: at ten times the base weight it earns about 4.1 times as much, not ten.

Notes from testing
The Chicken is the first pet almost everyone hatches. Its egg sits in the Forest right next to your base, needs no Speed to reach, and hatches faster than any other egg in our list, so a new player can have one earning within a minute of joining.
That is where the good news ends: the Chicken has the lowest base income of every pet we track. Treat it as a stepping stone. Two or three Chickens pay for nothing on their own, but the Speed you pick up while grabbing their eggs adds up, and that is what opens the rest of the Forest.
We used a Golden Chicken for our first in-game test of the income formula, and the result matched the calculator. If you hatch a heavy or mutated Chicken it is still worth keeping for a short while, but swap it out as soon as you can carry Raccoon or Fox eggs home.
